Congratulations to Phillip Inglesby for winning the 2009 Lilly Organic Chemistry Postgraduate Symposium.               Congratulations to Elizabeth Clizbe whose paper was written up in SYNFACTS.           Congratulations to Aleksandr Grišin who won the 2009 Kenner Award for outstanding performance by a first year organic postgraduate student in research.

Ph.D. Studentship in Organic and Organometallic Chemistry

Autumn 2010

One fully funded Ph.D. studentship is available within the Evans' Group within the Department of Chemistry at The University of Liverpool  for suitably qualified individual.  Candidate must be EU citizen with at least a 2(i) degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.  Stipends are at EPSRC standard rates (TBD), and directed by Professor P. Andrew Evans. 

Professor Evans research group  is engaged in a wide range of areas in synthetic organic chemistry, i.e. asymmetric catalysis, metal-catalyzed reactions, medicinal chemistry, synthetic methodology and total synthesis of complex biologically important natural products.  Students can expect to be exposed to many of these exciting and pertinent areas of research during their Ph.D. studies.
